I use Sonar, getting sonar 6, upgraded from 4 but hear a lot about cubase, steinberg software for audio work. and its big brother Nuendo.
Compare to Sonar? Anyone?

Never really used it at length, my studio runs Logic (very very old Logic!) I've been meaning to download a 'trial' (😉) for ages. I'm still drawn to Cubase because of the integration of Reason. A friend of mine uses this combination and it looks really quick and powerful. I'd be interested to know how Sonar integrates Reason actually. Anyone?

I use pro tools LE V7, I like the way you can fix tracks right on the same page with clicks, cut and re-record, its way easier than in Sonar.
What about cubase or that logic thing in that regard?
I did figure out that capability leaves sonic artifacts, that is to say if you cut out a piece that you considered bad and recorded over the same time frame, it can be done with no clicks and such but you can still hear the fact it is not the same track inside the fix. It works ok if there are several tracks, the other tracks cover up the boo-boo fix. Is it as easy in cubase to fix tracks as it is in pro-tools?

My version is an ancient version that was released on Windows before Mac bought Emagic (who produce Logic) and removed the Windows version from the market to try and corner the studio Computer Market for Apple. Not sure if it worked or not, though most people seem to use Macs in studios these days...
