I have a '98 "grand" voyager and it has one annoying habit, you start out with the locks unlocked and when you hit 20 MPH, they all lock so I get out at a hardware store or something, and I have to hit the unlock button on my fob twice to get the tailgate to unlock. Anyone know any useful way of killing that so-called feature? I know, take out the door lock fuse, Thanks but maybe something more specific that lets me lock the doors when I want to, not when the stupid CAR wants to?

Originally posted by Pattrick06I know about the child lock but it doesn't stop the stupid locks going off above 20. So its a computer thing, I was thinking it was just a switch on the speedo, but I guess its buried in an Al Gore Rhythm..
Get you local mechanic to do into the computer and turn that feature off..Also in the frame of the sliding door thier is a switch for the child lock saftey feature..
Originally posted by sonhouseThis is actually a great feature on most minivans. The #1 market for these minivans is the suburban mom with kids. I've heard many moms say this is a great feature because they don't have to constantly check to see if the doors are locked. They just pack the kids in and go. And with the child-safety feature on the manual locks, the doors stay locked. In today's world, even a single woman can have peace-of-mind knowing her doors are locked. My 2003 Saturn Ion 3 QC has this feature also and I like it.
