I think Mac OS is based on Unix, which is a very different kettle of fish to Windows, in that it actually works.

Macs do tend to get less viruses, but it's not entirely down to the better security. Since there are less of them, they are targeted by far fewer hackers who want to cause as much mayhem as possible.
The little gits.

Bill Gates was involved in some 'deals' with the early DOS systems and seemed to get the better of IBM. There is an interesting article here:

Every bad thing you've ever heard about Bill Gates is true.

Every good thing you've ever heard about Macs in relation to PCs is also true.

Buy a PC and you follow Bill Gates to the dark side. Buy a Mac and the force will be with you.

Tosh. Intel chips are dross. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/133/1

If you're going PC then go AMD, if you're not with PC, stay with Macs.

That's just not true. OS/X is a perfectly advanced operating system. Unlike XP it is not riddled with bugs, security problems and towers of hotfixes piled on top of each other. Microsoft should be ashamed for endorsing software as poorly constructed as Windows and so should you for encouraging it.

http://www.xvsxp.com/ for example

Well we'll agree to disagree then... for now....

I can handle the fact mr-g nicked a few ideas.. but can mac heads handle the fact that their cpu isn't good enough.. let me just remind you billy-g does software not hardware. With PC if you want to change a bit of Hardware you dont need to change the whole machine.
So there you're again one more reason to buy pc over mac.

I thought you were'nt up for an arguement...

I didn't say that, but they're a lot more stable than windows. Or should I say any stability that windows has is because of the lack of support for other software, afterall it won't crash if it won't run it in the first place.

I agree with the hardware issue, I built my PC and for the user who knows what they are doing, the hardware is more worthwhile. But I maintain that Windows sucks the sweat out of my armpits. I am converting to linux as soon as I have the confidence to make the change without it affecting the use i make of my PC.

What? Why would I stop posting links? Are you attempting to suggest I shouldn't coroborate anything I say? What a strange idea.

Also, don't flatter yourself, the links are primarily for others.
