However you could get a mate (who your grandson doesn't know) to act as a policeman and call round.

A quick visit to a fancy dress hire shop for a policemans uniform, then
you go home and have a "wee argument" with your grandson, go into a pretend temper and then say you have had enough with his attitude and you are calling the cops about hi ...[text shortened]... rives 10 minutes later to arrest him.

Priceless, funny and worth the fancy dress hire 🙂
Funny you should say that. I saw a a Sheriff in full uniform driving a Sheriff's car round my home town in Manchester yesterday. I was puzzled to say the least.

I recommend NO DISCIPLINE. Instead of feeding the problem, the two of you need to get professional help.
WTF???? Odd...used ta be when a child did something wrong, he was considered responsible for his actions. What a wonderful world we've come into with the new liberal approach to parenting you recommend.

The problem is much deeper than you realize. And it will require you and your son (and maybe your wife too) to work with a professional.

You obviously have no clue as to what you've done to him psychologically.

Take a picture of the wrecked vehicle, take it and your son to a tattoo shop and have it inked onto his forehead. Then it will always be on his mind.

I'd introduce him to a very good friend of mine....Mr. Black Belt

I'd light fire to his a** and teach him that my word is bond. You think you want to be Billy Bad A** and override that, we're going to tussle when it's all said and done.

Beat the besneebles off of that little freak and make him pay for it.

Damn kids......*shaking head*

Edit: I didn't know that he ran away. I paged back and saw that. Yes, professional help is needed here. That or juvenile hall. You don't need to put up with that garbage.

You obviously have no clue what you're doing to me mentally, reading drivel like that.

"What he has done to him?" You're seriously twisted! How on earth can you turn this around 180 degrees, and put the blame on the general, instead of his grandson? No friggin' wonder no one is willing to accept blame for their own actions these days, when people like you come up with all sorts of irrational excuses for someones behaviour.

These are the signs of an idiot :

1. Exaggerating the problem ( ..this is really serious)
2. Insisting there is a deeper meaning (.. whats going on in his life ...)
3. Discouraging discipline
4. Rushing for 'professional' help for everybody !

The kid is normal and needs a normal slap, normal grounding, etc etc for what he did.

He's back at home with his dad now, basically just hung out with friends for a few days until he thought everything had blown over. His dad had a clever idea, he's selling the kids dirtbike to pay for the scooter repairs, which seems like justice to me. The kid is whinning about how unfair it is hahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa.

Definitely. You have to kill him. Otherwise he's never going to learn....

Nah, but threaten him. Here are some suggestions:

Gary Glitter offered 30 quid for you, now why shouldn't I sell you?

XanthosNZ wants to come and stay for the summer, shall I say she can share your room?

C'mere boy, I'm gonna teach you checkers...

But, but, but, General... I honestly believe he was trying to say "Should have got a new Honda Dio, Gramps, 125mpg, max speed 36mph AND room for the helmet under the seat..."

Just got back from work, discovered that my front blinker had also been broken off and squeezed back on....it came off after a few days of riding from vibration. My golden haired grandson stuck it back and hoped I wouldn't catch it. He better hope I don't catch him.
14 year olds are total sucks.
