You'd never want a clock where the hour hand only moves one degree per hour, it would take 15 days to get back to its starting position, instead of twelve hours like you would want. I don't know about you, but I use the hour hand on clocks to keep track of hours rather than fortnights. And with only 4 degrees between 8 AM and Noon, I doubt I'd ever get out the door on time in the morning.

The question was based on the assumption that the hour hand moves one
sixtieth of a degree per minute, so one degree would be a full hour, yes?

He didn't say the answer was wrong, he only said he wouldn't want such a clock. I had the same thought when I read the question.
