This is peculiar. You scarcely post on the General Forum and yet here you are talking about what "everyone" thinks and what "no one" thinks.

Maybe if you help rid the forum of those foul, racist, abusive trolls instead of writing lengthy self-eulogies and ignoring those who’s posting really shouldn’t be here just because they attack “the twins” you might find yourself with less green thumbs but with more respect.

Thanks. We agreed to pay the freeholder a (reasonable) premium to include that void space in the demise of our property.

I figured that would be the easiest solution for all parties. At least you can lever the extra space as part of the listing.

We took the financial hit to keep the existing buyer on the hook. In their shoes, I probably would have walked away.

Yeah, we walked away from three agreed purchases when something came up in the searches. I just couldn’t abide the dishonesty of the seller. In hindsight one of them we probably should have hung out for, which involved a matter of £10k.

The void space was only £3k (plus solicitor fees) a lot less than I had feared.
