Lucky to win, or lucky to win 3-1?
I disagree they were lucky to win. The Japanese goal came out of nowhere and involved a bit of a mess - in fact, I understand the referee kind of apologised at the end of the game and implied he should have awarded a free kick to Schwarzer.
Also, there were large parts of the game where we were dominating possession.
...[text shortened]... erhaps there was some luck involved there - although the 2nd and 3rd goals were great finishing.
Harry Kewell couldn't even run, he was so shagged.
The game really could have gone either way.

As for not having ifs and buts, why indulge in it yourself if you're so against it? "After Japan's lucky goal Harry Kewell nearly equalised in the following minutes ,his kick from way out just clipped the cross bar".
If you don't have want to discuss games after they've finished, then the solution is simple... don't take part in threads once the game is finished, and let the rest of us discuss the games as we wish.

Secondly,i did not say any what ifs ,what i said actually happened, and in its context it was used to support my argument about Australia having more of the attack.
Thirdly ,i would love to discuss the games after they have finished but unfortunately the game between Brazil and Australia has not even started. If you wish to discuss the games, make sure they are in the correct thread.
