The Foster's over here is pretty good, compared to most other beers, the biggest rival would be Carlsberg. Having said that, the Foster's here is brewed in this country just with Australian markings on the tin, not like we export any of your rubbish 😛
The Northern Territory is what is referred to a a Territory - it does not have to the same political rights etc as a state does within the Commonwealth of federated states. The ACT - Australian Capital territory is the other example.

Australian beer is good for what it is brewed for - quick drinking - there are plenty of better beers elsewhere.

Ah ok, so ACT being canberra? Just had a quick look on Wikipedia, makes a bit more sense now. So the Northern Territory governs itself? Is there much in the Northern Territory other than sheep?

The NT is quite beautiful. It has some amazing landscapes.

Sorry brother, no one, i repeat no one in Australia drinks Fosters. It is our revenge on the world, along with "Neighbours".
In England, Fosters is my drink of choice. It's cheap and beautiful.

I drank it one night in Australia and nearly died. It tasted mank and full of chemicals and gave me the worst hangover ever.

Different drink altogether.

I'd rank Tuohey's New as one of the best lagers I've ever tasted.

If you can find it, i reccomend Cascade Lager or Crown Lager, a couple of levels above Tooheys New. For bitters, either Victorian Bitter or Melbourne Bitter. Great Beers.
European beers, Carlsberg or Tuborg.

VB is a cut above fosters and thats being kind. Melbourne bitter is even worse. Cascade premium lagar is a very nice beer but a $65 + a case you can keep it. Crown lager is VB in a different bottle. Haven't tried those European beers but they sound expensive. I stand by my Tooheys Extra Dry for taste crispness and affordability.

Hi Rag,

Where l am from (Melbourne) Tooheys is spending millions trying (not very succesfully) to get people to drink Tooheys beers.

l can remember 12 or so years ago , walking into a pub with mates - seeing they had tooheys ont tap and leaving in disgust.

Now l think there is very very little difference between the main beers ( VB - Melb from CUB and Tooheys.

Much prefer Cascade, Boags and Coopers -quality and less chemicals.

Cheers
