What's the panels thoughts on AVG anti-virus free edtion, compared and contrasted with other anti-virus big softyware ?

Get a firewall (ex. ZoneAlarm) and you won't really need AVG.

Since there is absolutely no spyware or viruses on my computer and since there never has been ... I obviously do know what I'm talking about. If you have a firewall, the only way that you can be infiltrated by viruses or spyware is if you allow them access to your computer.

That has more to do with the sites you do or don't visit and what you do or don't click on than the firewall... A good firewall is great, but if your kid or whoever, goes to a site or clicks on a link that is... let's just say bad ;-) you'll likely end up with some unwanted bytes on the old PC...
