Could you diagnose me with the imaginary - Studium insulsae disputationis disorder please...i believe its an addiction to stupid debates.
Certainly. However, to confirm a diagnosis of imaginary Studium insulsae disputationes I shall have to ask you a few questions.

1. Have you ever engaged in rage-baiting in an online forum?

2. Have you put more than three forum participants on DNR (do not read/reply) status?

3. Do you find @Mott's posts insipid or hilarious?

4. Same question re @Shav?

5. Would you pay good money to be verbally abused on a daily basis?

Thank you moonbus, I'll be back when I feel convinced I need diagnosis. Right now I believe myself to be pretty sane around here.
Delusions of sanity. There's a lot of it about.

That'll be 1200 quid. Thank you.

The king himself came to inspect the work and gave it his royal approval.
The king of what? King of Marvin Gardens?

I would never have guessed, thank you. I also believe I have already settled my account with you. πŸ™‚

My wife and I just spent the best part of the day building a box to go around the pipes below the boiler. (Am on AL this week). - Wooden frame with a gold metal front and sides that folded beautifully around the frame. (Has a patterned series of holes through the metal sheet, so had to put an oblique fabric behind the metal to ensure the pipework wasn't visible).

W ...[text shortened]... estion the best thing we have ever built (through improvisation).

Where do we collect the award?
Sounds innovative, decorative and satisfying; well done both.

The gold colour might be a bit bling for my taste unless it is a muted shade or you have gold kitchen units.

Thank you kindly.

A boiler in the bathroom is never ideal. (We almost bought a property , while looking for our current one) that had the boiler in the main bedroom. - Dive talked us out of buying it. πŸ™‚
You possibly owe me your life; where do I collect my reward? πŸ˜ƒ

My armchair psychologist idea of the manopause is its caused by several huge life and physiological changes all happening around the same time causing a sudden lack of identity...i call it the floppy willy theory. it begins with a sudden increase in urination and ends with the devistating realisation one day that 99.9% of fertile women do not see you as a viable sexual partner.

Yes, not a dazzling gold and looks good next to the dark grey units. (Went for a walnut worktop).
