Go to Hellevoetsluis in the Netherlands and visit the Delta Expo. That explains how the dam construction works and how the Dutch manage sea and river levels. Very interesting.
Go to Rome and drink an espresso in front of the Parthanon.
Visit London and get stoned up in Camden town.
Pop by Pforzheim in Germany and drink some absynthe in the Black Forest.
Sit on the steps leading up to the Sacre Couer in Paris and look out over the whole city.
Drink a pint of lager on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh while you gaze up at the castle.
Rent a car and drive from Nice to Grenoble through the French alps (don't do this in Winter though).
Go to Zoostation in Berlin and listen to some David Bowie on your MP3 player.
Originally posted by Derfel CadarnThe most beautiful place I have ever been is in a northern Spanish mountain range called Picos de Europa it was very backward with many isolated villages and even a couple of villages with no roads to only footpaths. The only bad thing though is that some of the paths and areas are starting to get overcrowded with tourists but I am one of those people that likes walks in remote places and to only see the odd other person. i would recommend it if you like walking in a mountainous area. I have been there two time one last year and the other about four years ago.
I know we have alot of European players on this site. Can yall tell me some of the most beautiful places there are? I'm planning to visit one of these days.

Roma (the foremost city of the world IMHO, breathtaking and so important to understanding our past)
Venice (seeing the pictures is not enough, this place has to be touched, a wonder of the modern world)
Florence
Verona (city of Romeo and Juliet)
Bologna (I bought a cool pair of shoes here recently, the girl who sold them to me was quite some salesperson)
Napoli (best pizza in the world)
Pompei (awesome historical significance)
Perugia
Urbino (set in one of Italy's most beautiful regions, le Marche, unspoilt by progress)
Milan (although only for its cathedral and shopping)
Alberobello (small but worth a day, check out trulli or Alberobello on google.com and you'll see why)
Alto Adige region, Bolzano etc (clean and tidy)
And outside the cities:
Sardinia (anywhere, most beautiful girls in the world)
Sicily (anywhere)
Tuscany
Calabria (fantastic beaches)
Puglia
Abruzzo
The Dolomites
etc
etc
Basically, Italy.
