All UK based real ale drinkers should take a pilgrimige to Setchey (near King's Lynn, Norfolk) to the Beers of Europe Warehouse.

Fantastic, I got some really good real ales there recently, and will certainly go back again (hic!).

What was impressive (but also a little scary) was the number I could point to and say I'd drunk at least one bottle.

They don't have Norwegian beer. Tsk tsk tsk... Not that I drink beer, but hey, we even have a brewery in Bodø.

Very impressive. Just one disappointment: couldn't find the (supposedly) best beer in the world: Westvleteren; its 'yellow cap' was nominated best beer on several occasions and is also my favorite.

aren't most of these lagers? there's a pub i go to quite a lot that has a rather nice selection of beers-it usually has 4 or 5 guest ales, as well as bellhaven best, caffery's etc. i put on a good half stone after discovering this pub...

Just because I'm an American doesn't mean that I haven't sampled some of the finest wines, ales, beers, single malt scotch whiskeys(my favorite), rums,cognacs,etc.. etc....in my travels. Other than Sam Adams and a few micro brews the rest of the American beers suck. Even you have to admit we make some damn fine bourbons.

Labatts what? They produce dozens of beers.

There are so many fine beers in Canada I wouldn't know where to begin.
