Slanted and Crooked Rain are great (nay, fantastic!) but Wowee Zowee, to me, is Pavement at its quirkiest and greatest.
Best songs include: Grounded, Father to a Sister of Thought, Black Out, Fight This Generation, Pueblo, etc. etc.
Also, the 10th anniversary double album Wowee Zowee has the best b-side/live cuts of all three of the re-issues.
