Massive star top left of constellation Orion (bottom right if you’re in the southern hemisphere). Could go supernova in our lifetime, maybe even tomorrow. If anyone notices any changes, or if you see it go off please post about it here so we don’t miss out.

Observation didn't happen in 2025, will it in 2026?

There is an intersting bit of information for all who leave the telescope only to see if there is asometing new about Betelgeuse.

Interesting, thanks for sharing Pondy.

“Siwarha“ the “bracelet” of Betelgeuse.

Might help if we all say the name three times?

You have to say it when facing a mirror alone in the dark of night.

But what about the ethical considerations and temporal back-propagation?

What if the sentient beings of the Betelgeuse system were counting on another few decades (in Earth years) to decamp elsewhere before their sun went blammo?

@Arkturos
I heard they are all asses and deserve whatever is due.
They have an orange coloured war-mongering supreme leader who just attacks neighbouring systems without warning and replaces any free thinking leadership with sycophants.

It would need to be their real name of course.

Any knowledge who calls that star how (apart from humans on Earth)?
