What a joyful feeling as he fluttered about, he completely forgot that he was Zhuangzi.

It's only natural to have biases surely.

I'm giving you the opportunity to change my mind.

If you can convince me to read something worthwhile, I assure you I will do so with an open mind.

If I've made up my mind, I wouldn't bother trying to expand it would I?

So please.... help me out.

You've also sparked my curiosity now.

What are the differnces in the Biblical and Qu'raanic versions of creation??
Well, mate, to be sincere I am in the middle of both ends, accepting the heavy reasoning behing evolution, though recognizing the spiritual dimension needed in times of despair as this. More of a pragmatic social concern, regarding what I see on the streets.

Moreover, my ego is not that big to say I am done with my process of discovery for truth... in any field of human knowledge: Politics, spirituality, art... even sports! lol! I am eager to keep learning and, sincerely, when I come to you and say: "I know it all and this is my final position" please shoot me. 🙂

Let me prepare a list and p.m. you later on with the things I've been reading in this already long process of self discovery, particularly evolutionism & creationism. Alright?

A good book on the philosophy of science is Thomas Kuhn's, "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions". It's an excellent response to Popperian inspired texts about an idea of science being a continuing and progressive development.

Plato, "The Republic"
Aristotle, "Po ...[text shortened]... ondly, I am completely ignorant of eastern philosphical thought.
Thank you for the recommendations.

Much appreciated.

But O wise one, didn't Heidegger reject the Western tradition and insert Eastern thought into our philosophy, and further more, isn't he one of the most influential thinkers of our time? Which would mean we are playing catch-up, not them?
