Breakfast cerials - hot or cold milk?

I remember the days my father always heated the milk in the mornings, and poured it over our cornflakes, Sugar Poofs (If that is not politically incorrect anymore), and Allbran.

I never did like the taste of heated, nearly boiled milk, even on a cold winter's morning.

I much prefer really chilled milk on cornflakes, or other cerials.

Do you prefer hot or cold milk, and why?

Well there's nought much else going on here, and if shapes of pasta are of relevance, I think hot or cold milk is much more important. 😀

I just have to go with chilled milk on brekkie.

Only cereal i like with hot milk is oatmeal, otherwise chilled milk is tops for all other cereal.

But oatmeal is for the crunch, isn't it?

Hot milk just takes away the 'cerial crunch'.

Hot raisins and sultanas with bran? ewww 😕

Cold all the way baby....hot milk makes the cereal go soggy too quickly.

I don't have milk on my cereals. I always eat them dry. 😲

ewww dry cereal!

I put a few blueberries, rasberries, & blackberries in with my cereal, with lactose free skim milk cold of course.

Also a soft boiled egg, two slices of lightly done toast, a banana, & a glass of cranberry cocktail. ( seperate from the cereal ) 😉

My morning coffee comes next, then I am ready to greet the day, in my as always good natured way.

No milk for me, dry or with fruit juice.

Interesting! Never thought of that. What kind of juice?

Nearly anything from apple, orange, or nectars like peach or mango. I seldom eat dairy products so I substitute often.

And this tastes good?

Mind you I've never tried it. 😕

I like it, the juice adds sweetness without the need for sugar.

Porage is the only cereal I have with hot milk, although traditionalists eat it with water and salt. (Incidentally, it's the only cereal I put sugar on.)

Brown sugar, right? Not too much milk either.
