Here's whats wrong with our MF culture. Last night Ann Curry, the newscaster for the Today Show, received an award from the Simon Wiesenthal Center for her work to show the suffering of the people in the Darfur region of the Sudan. Well deserved. The same day it also comes out that the Today Show will pay Paris Hilton $1,000,000 to air the first interview with her when she gets out of jail. Hilton was mad at Matt Lauer for some unflattering (imagine that) things he said about her and will only let Meredith Viera interview her.

I thought she found Jesus in jail. I sure hope the people of Darfur can all huddle around a ten inch black and white TV to see this interview.

Jesus wept.

We should all be so MF lucky as to spend 3 weeks in jail and come home to this kind of crap. Actually, I think she is a convicted misdemeanor which chaps my rearend even more.

Was she there long enough to find Jesus? Was she even there long enough to find the toilet?

Here's some more Paris Hilton BS about how grateful she is. Yea, we would all be grateful to have $1,000,000 for spending five minutes yacking with Mereidth Viera. But the best line in this story is how she has realized how she has been used by the media. I have never seen someone more handicapped by the dumbass gene in my life.

I refuse to be drawn into your TV soaked fantasy, and kindly refuse to use the link provided.

Why don't you go switch off your television, then go do something less boring instead ?

I doubt either the Today Show or NBC read these forums much. You might want to PM them instead.

She didn't even spend 3 weeks in jail. You can't even call where she is jail. I mean she doesn't have to get into the yard with the rest of the inmates. She gets an hour of private time to shower, the rest of the time she gets her ipod and her cell phone in her own room. That's not jail, thats just a really crappy hotel room for 3 weeks.
