Originally posted by huckleberryhoundI just get mine at RadioShack. They normally have a big stack for $20 or something, but then on the same shelf, a stack of comparable ones for $5.99. Very cheap. No wait. No shipping cost. Immediate gratification. I think that's your best bet.
Anyone know a site where i can buy some (not e-bay 😛) ?
Thanks in advance .....Huck
Originally posted by huckleberryhoundIt depends on the DVD player, as well as on the DVDs. The DVD player of my computer can play different regions, but you can only switch a certain number of times (not many), so it wouldn't work well if you have both Region 1 and Region 2 DVDs you want to watch, unless you have two DVD players. Other DVD players can be limited to one region, but there are also many zone-free DVD players. But from what I have heard, the American DVD industry has reacted to that by producing DVDs that won't play on zone-free DVD players.
Do american DVD's play here in Europe ? (probably a stupid question, but hey....i am what i am😛)
Originally posted by NordlysI kinda guessed that. My new DVD player is a Phillips (a good brand), and can play VCDs. I haven't read into the zone thing as i am a man, and i threw away (back in the box) the instructions so i could play with the shiney buttons in peace 😛

Originally posted by SilverstrikerI have used www.play.com as well. They have decent prices, and no shipping cost. The latter is especially important here in Norway because it means that I can order one product at a time to avoid having to pay duty.

Originally posted by Nordlyswow! That can really ring up the change!! Is the duty generated on any purchase outside of Norway, or is it outside of Europe?
