Don't accept this behavior done to you, and don't do this to anyone else. Don't even make excuses for it, even if it is from someone who you consider a friend. You're not doing a friend any favors by bailing them out of the responsibility for actions like this. And for readers who think my example is ridiculous, something like this actually happened. This girl's transmission on her car was a bit clunky, and "Colby" convinced her to let him borrow the car because he could probably figure out what, if anything, was wrong. Noon turned into 1pm, 1pm turned into 5 pm, and 5pm turned into 8pm with no word or from Colby. Finally a call at Colby's house was answered by his parents, and there was Colby, who had been home for hours, "Oh yeah, your car is out on XXX county road. It's not working any more. Bye."
Colby picked up a couple of fellow socially-inept cohorts during his driving "inspection" and proceeded to totally abuse her car, doing doughnuts, ramping over railroad crossings as fast as possible, red-lining it in first gear, and jamming around on the gear shift until the transmission simply no longer worked. Then he abandoned her car, walked home with his friends, and blew the whole thing off. Now, you've got to understand, Colby wasn't scared or frightened about admitting what happened. This is actually how he acts, and he simply decided he was no longer interested in her car anymore and he walked away.
Colby had no intentions of paying for the damage, and his parents didn't want to discuss it either, somehow blaming the victim because if Colby didn't think it was a big deal, they didn't understand why it should be a big deal to anyone else -- that is, until a week later when Colby totalled his parents car and rolled it over.
Don't be like Colby, and don't accept the behavior.
ps. Colby valued the elitist facade that he was the smartest guy in school, going to great lengths to avoid any activity that might shatter that illusion. On why Colby wouldn't play chess with anyone, he said, and I quote: "Chess is too easy; I just always make the best move."

If you don't absolutely need the mobility, rather stay with a desktop system for gaming.
Cheap, easily upgradable.
Standard parts are easily procured.
Newest hardware takes some time to filter down to the laptops.
Easy to overclock and add extra cooling.
Bigger screens.

I was referencing this very thread where Huck told Phlabibit to crash into a bus full of school kids, and Monty Moose said it should be a "short" bus. So, if by referencing past posts you mean answering posts within a thread by referring to other posts inside the very same thread, yeah, I do crazy things like that all the time. 🙂
