Of course it's possible! If you practice Samatha meditation you can quite easily rid the mind of words. It's not even that hard to distract your mind long enough to stop thinking in words. If anyone is really that interested then google it. I studied Buddhism for three years at college and university, meditation is the way forward! Well... that and chess haha. They both clear the mind, but in very different ways.
