take your own beer, they don't have any. take your own cheese as well and don't talk to any of the locals, they won't understand you but if you do end up talking to them don't talk about politics, they're idiots and they have guns. enjoy your trip.

We've got beer, all you need to do is sit it in the sun for an hour. We refrigerate ours.

Same goes for the cheese.

i walked around two different supermarkets looking for decent chedder, finally ended up going for an 'irish mature chedder', you'd get shot for calling that thing mature here, shot. trust me, you don't have cheese.

as for the beer, i did find a couple of brands that i'd never heard of before that was quite nice. the stuff the majority of you guys drink however is horrible, $7 for a piss water coors lite at a hockey game - wut.

There are cheeses at the deli if you go to the right deli and pay an arm and a leg. Super Market? That's like trying to use crayons to make a work of art.

As for the beers, I don't drink the big-name brands. Small (micro) breweries are teh way to go.

Someday I'm going to Europe to eat cheese and drink beer only!

and drink milk, that's all we're good for. beef is quility if you pay the $$$ for the good stuff.

supermarket - i don't know what the american is, like safeway or any other large store where you buy all your fooood. safeway had a deli, all crap.

and lamb how could i forget the lamb? irish lamb is the best in the world.

if you didn't have the kids now would be an excellent time to come over, with the pound and euro being pretty much worthless at the moment. pretty clear what you have to do i think... sell the kids and take a vacation in europe.

i was in colorado and miami, neither had irish standard cheese or european standard beer.

don't blame me if you're used to crap.

Our best cheeses are made in Wisconsin and Oregon.

And for god's sake, go to a real deli. Safeway deli, good grief, man.

Hey, that's all you got! Trev said so! He went to TWO supermarkets and an Avs game! How can you argue with such expertise and experience?

Be sure to bring all the Pepcid you can carry then.

I dunno about the beer, I don't drink much of that, but I'd rather not eat "cheese" that someone's grandma has been aging under her porch for the last five years.

The best delis are in a multicultural city, like New York or Chicago.

And I don't mean "multicultural" like Los Angeles or Miami.

Supermarket delis just blow.

I'm not going to brush my teeth for a couple years to build up a tolerance.

Come on... why you american and british people speak about things you don't know... ...food?! Do you really think that you folks know how to eat?
maybe did you learn it while running in the street? or were the waiters when bringing the bill?!

😀

if you want to eat: Italy guys! Just Italy! where eat is an art! pure art!

but remember wine instead of beer... have you ever saw Bacchus drink wine?

ok.. it was just a provocation ;-)
