Consultation vote - ending anonymous recommendations

the vote is easy, a little cry baby called V [just a random letter i picked not accusing anyone]
cant understand why he gets thumbs down, so V wants to know who....i have no problem with my name going to a thumb..

in the last few weeks i have even thumbed up robbie mctayto and lemonhead....but not the boring V.

its like V actually thinks thumbs mean something...geez that must be a sad life.

I think there was just not enough interest in the matter and the discussion is far from comprehensive...

Yes, the vote is ended and yes, it had all kinds of publicity. It was in the Site Ideas forum and in this forum. What is it the police say? "Ignorance of the law is no excuse"? Maybe now that you've pulled your head out of the Clans Forum, you'll find all kinds of posts about all kinds of different things. But then again, maybe not.

On any other message board, Ponderable would be named and shamed as a "necro-poster"... posting in threads months after they were last posted in, and assumed dead. This is usually seen as bad form, but for some reason, not here. You have to pay attention to the posting dates.

But the vote is over and indeed, active discussion on this issue is also dead. This is why most message boards do not allow "necro-posting", it's too confusing for people who don't pay attention to post dates.

When I checked the vote just a couple of days ago, the vote seemed like a dead tie at 22-22. Someone's been applying the "full court press" because today I check and it's 26-22. Now whether someone is creating accounts just to drive the vote in their preferred direction is anybody's guess. If you think this vote is a travesty ...[text shortened]... et ballot. If you think these votes should remain secret, then why vote for thumbs to be known?

Sadly from the turnout I'd say this is dead in the water right?
