Culture???

So...Asians (Japanese or Chinese not sure) are cutting off shark fins because they use them at their weddings as gifts or sumthing but they just cut off the fin and throw the whole shark away...whats up with that, were not living in the stone age anymore or is it now again a issue of "its their CULTURE"?? So does having it be your culture warrant u murdering millions of sharks each year??? I'm confused.

I dont know how true that is because they also seem to be selling the fins in the street to civilians.

Actually, the Chinese government is cracking down. It is soon to be illegal to sell shark's fin in any form in China!.......It is not reverred here anymore, people do understand the consequences!

As far as I know shark fins are the only part of sharks Californians 'harvest' for shark fin soup...
