When I first joined RHP the only forum I went to was Posers and Puzzles.
It was lively way back then.
What happened?

of frequent posters seem to prefer to emote and fight rather than think.

It can cause people to lose interest in any forum.

Nope.
It was 95% civil and there was a certain bonhomie amongst regular posters.

The 'refugees' from the Clans Forum recently turned up in numbers on the Debate's Forum and you welcomed several times. And yet, they form a nucleus of frequent posters that often seem to prefer to emote and fight rather than think, I'm sure you'd agree. Do you think the ex-Clans Forum posters will cause the Debates Forum to die out, so to speak?

Just my impression. If I am mistaken, so be it. But those who have turned up have caused threads to be deleted, have attacked each other in banter unrelated to the threads it is posted on etc. I am not advocating that they are silenced in any way. I am merely trying to make sense of Grampy Bobby's pronouncement on both 'emoting and fighting' and the Clans Forum contingent, and putting it in the context of his dreary day-in-day-out browbeating of uncounted and unnamed posters.

Who exactly is he trying to browbeat ~ there are uncivil and scathing posters he has apparently never criticized ~ and others who are guilty of nothing much more than not seeing eye to eye with him who seem to be in his sights when he starts whole threads, endless numbers of them, intended for the purpose of reprimanding people ~ it seems so complex sometimes. 😉

Something out of the ordinary must have happened to - or because of - eldragonfly: I note that he or she has only one post remaining in the posting history! 😲
