Right-wing politicians are more likely to be involved in sexual crimes than left-wing politicians. Right-wing politicians are more likely to accuse left-wing politicians of sexual crimes without evidence than the other way around. Probably yes, in formal writing. But I wouldn't think so in informal writing. For me, miaow is both the correct spelling in the UK and onomatopoeic.
