So I have just made plans for tomorrow night to have a really cute guy over for supper. It's been awhile since I've had to cook for anyone, especially someone that I'm hoping to make a very good impression with.

Should I make spaghetti or leg of lamb?

He doesn't like mushrooms, which I love in my spaghetti, and I'm all out of parmesan cheese.

If I go with the lamb I have no idea what to make with it. Some sort of pasta I would imagine. AND if I somehow manage to screw it up I'll never live it down. There's no screwing up spaghetti. 😀

But spaghetti isn't really all that impressive of a meal 🙁

ARGH! Too much pressure!

please don't upset the lamb by serving it with pasta.

make sure its still a little pink inside to, overcooked lamb is not a happy lamb 😛

Lamb, baked potatoes, roast pumkin, peas, and either carrots or sweet potato.

And make sure there is some sort of sauce to go with the lamb. I love gravy with lamb, but apparently mint jelly is nice as well.

Doesn't like mushrooms?! Ditch that loser!!!

EDIT: Or, if you still insist upon making a good impression, skip the dinner and go straight to dessert. 😉

Lamb with wild rice or semi-loaded baked potatos (chives & sour cream) with glazed baby carrots.

Although personally, I would prefer spaghetti. 😛

Well I'm not sure why you narrowed it down to those two so fast, but definitely go with the lamb. And mint jelly is good with it, although so is gravy. I like the idea of having it with roast pumpkin or sweet potato,

Just went with what I had in the freezer. Eliminated a lot of stuff real quick according to what I had in there. Definately don't feel like cooking a stew or pork shops or chicken legs. So it narrowed it down to lamb roast or hamburger meat. Hamburger meat is versatile but spaghetti just sprung to mind as something easy to make.

Have to decide before I go to bed in order to dethaw something. Maybe I should cook up both meals and serve whatever one comes out best 😀
