Under "old" I mean 50 and more (not 30 as they do i Silicone Valley).

Can a man over 50 get a decent job at all?!

There are laws against age discrimination in California..The employer can not even have that on the job application...

As to each and every measure there is a countermeasure.

They won't write that on thier job offer. They will just make it so that the young person is the one better fitting...

I used to work in an office in London for a multinational in a BIG, BIG building.
Visitors impressed by the size would often ask "How many people work here?"
To which our stock reply was "Oh about 30%"

Unfortunately it wasn't too far from the truth!
