Well, you've already said they shouldn't have gone into the profession so I don't think it should matter to you what else they do instead, at home or abroad.

Will you recruit the best people as doctors if you only want the young graduates who'll smell the government's glove?

MPs insist they must pay themselves £84,144 in order to attract the right calibre of person even though no one dies if they don't go to work.

What kind of person/doctor is £29,381 supposed to get you? People that should 'put up or shut up' even as we remind them that people will die if they don't go to work?

Should they all resign then if they want more money than you think is justified?

So doctors and nurses do deserve more money, it seems.

How can one secure "significant increases in national insurance to properly fund the NHS" from a government that kicks sand in the faces of public workers ~ a stance that probably pleases corporate donors?

You've already stated that you think people who want to be better paid shouldn't have gone into the NHS in the first place. How are doctors who are somehow content with £29,381 going to change the government's policies?

What mortgage can someone on £29,381 per annum afford?

So you are ruling out doctors as your allies in your fight to secure "significant increases in national insurance to properly fund the NHS".

Who is going to help you achieve what you'd like to see achieved?

So you want all the public sector workers to "crack on" and just accept their low pay? Once the government sees this happening, perhaps they will invest more in the sector. Although, I doubt it.

Isn't it pertinent if you believe £29,381 per annum is enough for a doctor to get by on?

Yeah right. How about changing the government's mind so it becomes committed to a properly funded NHS?
