Speaking of which, I seem to recall a doctor here in Sweden a few years back that wasn't actually an MD, even though he had succesfully practiced as such for a great number of years in a small community on the countryside.

When confronted by a patient if he really had a degree he bluntly admitted that he wasn't a real MD.

For almost thirty years, noone had actually thought of asking him that. 🙂

Of course, my memory may fail me on the details, but that's what I recall from the top of my head.
