Hehe. We of the House of Balarion are freedom fighters. We'll free the Elves of Elandor from their evil king and help them establish a democracy.

Clan Forkbeard has liberated another island from the criminals and thugs who infest the south seas. This year Raendon in the Sea of Dread was rescued by the Bloodspire Marines who have been methodically clearing out the various nests of criminals and pirates in the region.

The battle began with the pirate scum being caught flat footed on a foggy morning. As the Rune Guards stormed the beaches, followed closely by Dwarven Armored Bowmen and Human militia from Argonath, Human Crossbowmen rained missiles upon the enemy from the decks of the Forkbeard ships, killing several. As the pirates reeled in shock, the Guards hit them hard.

These pirates had in addition to a rabble of criminals a battalion of Ironanchor heavy infantry who quickly formed a shield wall and began to contest the beach with the Guards. Unfortunately for them their less disciplined allies tried to flee instead of covering the Ironanchors' flanks and were quickly cut down by Dwarven archers. The skirmishers from Argonath managed to outflank the pirate footmen and began to harry them from the sides and rear.

The pirates began a disciplined retreat but continued to take losses from Dwarven close range missile fire as the Marine infantry advanced and the Crossbowmen agilely lept off the ships and took a position on a small hillock.

Soon the pirate footmen found themselves with their backs to a marshy area that they could not move through in formation in their heavy armor. They were forced to hold firm. The two lines collided with fierce fighting from both sides.

In desperation, the pirates formed a wedge and rushed the Rune Guards. The Dwarves were caught by surprise and took a healthy beating as their line buckled. However the crossbowmen, now in position, were able to break up the charge with a hail of bolts on the pirates' right flank.

Once the charge was broken, the Dwarves began to push the pirates into the marsh, cutting down any who tried to escape to the flanks with arrows.

Desperately, the remnants of the pirate line charged the hill on which the crossbowmen had positioned themselves, turning their backs on the Rune Guards. This fatal mistake led to the deaths of the last of the Ironanchor footmen, mowed down by bolts from ahead and hacked apart by blades from the rear.

Let this be a warning to all the thuggish Men who think they can rape and pillage throughout the South Seas without consequence. This region is under the protection of the Forkbeard Navy and Marines. Outlaws will not be tolerated!

I don't know about Xanthos but I can confirm Freddie and I are using a programme called V3gui.exe. We might even share 'diplomacy'. But then again we might not.

Hey, search for 'medieval diplomacy dragonlord' in Google and RHP comes up before lordsofconquest.com. We rock.

I can't see the turnfile until I get home. Any dramatics?
In your neck of the woods, the only dramatics seems to be the collapse of Elandor as you and your allies grab his land.

I did what?!
You, supported by Balarion, took Caras Arain from Elandor. That's the only way I can think you'd get it unless he gave it or sold it to you.

EDIT - You two have large armies there and though it belongs to you, it's annexed to Elandor. According to my map Elandor owned it last year, I believe.

Our peacekeepers just walked in unopposed. There was no battle. The Elves of Elandor hailed us with flags and music. They knew we were coming, although their king will be in (or has been in) for a surprise.

Good to see a 'certain someone' and 'his sidekick' are being ground down ... it'll be an RHPer game only in a few turns at this rate ...

I'm not Royal, my friend. If you'd like to hire some good Dwarven Armored Journalists let me know. Our rates our competitive.

The Dragonclaw Clan might have got itself into deep water: while the plan to divert a large Uvathar Rax force into attacking an empty Rusucurru worked well, House Du Mord is not looking as weak as was hoped, while Uvathar Rax has amassed forces on the border of Dragonclaw's latest acquisition Lugurlak. What to do--reinforce Pangor to hold it against one lot of revengeful Dark Elves or beef up Lugurlak to hold it against those terrifying bone dragons? Ain't them firedrakes pretty though?

Even though I'm being attacked by KT, Dragonclaw, and the Night Goblins, and have also been declared war on by Anorien, and Elandor, I will survive!
