Dusseldorf Germany. Anyone been?

Off there next Friday for a long weekend with my Mrs.
Any recommendations?
It is the city where Auf Wiedershen Pet was set in, my favourite ever TV series 🙂

Like me, but in my case it wasn't a couple of weeks ago but 5 plus decades. I do remember arriving at the train station and getting a cab to my destination and the cabbie refusing to take me as it turned out my destination was a block away, so I walked.

I have been there some times.

It depends what you are up to. There is the longest bar in the world (längste Theke der Welt). Be aware if you drink Alt the local beer it is served in 0.2 l glasses, if your glas is empty you get a new one, except if you place the coaster on top of it.

That’s interesting, is it one of them infinite refill glasses or do you pay for each refill?

you pay each refill. Tough there are places wehre you can pay once and consume as much as you want to.

A true taxi driver would have taken you around the city and then dropped you off, he missed a trick.

I've never been a Dusseldorf in my life. At least I don't think so...
