It never ceases to amaze me how fickle football fans can be (and I'm as guilty as the next man!)

People were generally pleased when McClaren got the job - the consensus being 'that at least he's English'... and I thought getting El Tel in as right-hand man was a masterstroke. (Venables would've been my 1st choice for the job.)

1 draw and 1 defeat later and everyone now wants to jump on the 'McClaren must go' bandwaggon... give the bloke a chance - we persevered with a character bypass Swede for years!

except us Scotts. We're that happy if we get a goal, it doesn't matter whether we win or not. . .as long as we put up a good fight.
