Aren't you too busy supporting your Cheeto Jesus candidate?
If you are really "engulfed by the realization of your mortality", one might think you'd try to find some meaning in life. Maybe that's what you should be engulfed with instead of a nihilistic mentality. I just don't pick up the vibe you're that vacuous.

there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And
though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand
and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense
our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not
there.

I'd be concerned with my own if I were you. Besides, those of us who know where we'll be in the next life aren't worried about mortality.
I'm in no hurry to get there.
