Not all religious threads are debates, though. A debate is initiated when someone posts a series of points that he or she wants challenged. I am not entirely sure, but I don't think RBHill wants his threads to be challenged.

I click on "Forums" in my little red bar. I ignore "Help & Site Ideas" and skip right on down to "General," successfully staying away from "Debates."
But virtually every thread in the "General" forum has been invaded and taken over by fanatical, fundamentalist, and (insert "f" adjective here) Christians. That's what I'm sick of. Threads that have nothing to do with religion have turned completely preachy. Can we please have at least one discussion in the "General" forum that doesn't turn into a debate about who is or isn't going to hell?

I have...found...nothing in this forum that could be of use. I do not even know if Russ and Chrismo are reading the forums anymore, because of all the religous stuff around. I suggest we get a Religous Forum, where people can talk about religion if they want. The General Forum, for me, has always been about crap going on in people's heads they want to Share, ie The Longest Thread in RHP History. Made no sense, but was like a three year discussion you would have with buddies whilst cruising around the shops, or in a bar, or something.
Many people visit the forums, and lately, I noticed that people have been turned away by the religous "spam" (myslef included). This prompted me to try and do something about it, not unlike the Vietnam protestors (if I may use that term).
