Do you think marketing schemes by fast food companies targeting kids is immoral?
The kid throws his toys out of his cot if you wanna give him vegetables because he wants a McDonalds Happy Meal with a toy...
And because families have 2 breadwinners nowadays there's no time to cook a proper meal.
Now the kids AREN'T allright and 1.5billion people worldwide are obese.

I've got two kids. One is graduating from the "happy meal" stage. We try to prepare well-rounded healthy meals, but it came as a shock to us the other night when they were telling us that parents of their friends fix better food. Curious, we asked what they prepare for them when they are at their houses. "Hot dogs and macaroni and cheese." My wife and I just looked at each other in disbelief. We had taken over an hour preparing what we thought would be a delicious dinner that was nutricous as well. We live in a culture of immediate gratification. I love to cook and get a great deal of satisfaction from it. Hopefully, one day, they will too. Kirk

It's because it's so quick that it's a problem...

And also other forms than advertising. I heard about a school in the US where the school dinners were 'sponsored' by McDonalds. Which means the kids go to the canteen and get a choice of...McDonalds.
The school got some money for books out of it, McDonalds get a captive market who can't go elsewhere. And the kids get what? Coronary artery disease at an early age?

Originally posted by UncleAdamYeah, I watched a program on tv now about fast food and obesity. It said that when you eat a burger and fries and had a soft drink with that, you're getting in 40% of the calories you need per day. That doesn't give you too much slack for the rest of the day does it.
here is a link compareing Burger King,McDonalds and Wendy's hambugers
