not a genius !...me thinks one is trying to hurt my feelings...well, i
can take all the fluff you have to throw about.....we orphans of the
little red dress league ( little orphan annie, ivan the terrible in his
early years and myself ) have long put up with envy....it is ok...we
will all still be each other coming the morning ( do you get out much
in the morning ?....daylight is good for hangovers i hear )...so i will
take the cue and get out a book on the mediterrean and buff up on
my geography...little lulu always goes on learning or was that celine
dion who always goes on ?....must check out the music sheets in my
accordion box.

Thank you for not believing in that big myth (US = Texas). πŸ™‚

Dimitri's, in a small town near here.
Slice and a pop $2.50
Can't beat that, especially when you get like 2-3 slices most every time.
Their poutine is fantastic too.

I hate when americans make stupid restaurant signs or names like this just to imitate italians.
Pepperoni means nothing, the correct name for the vegetables is peperoni with one "r" and it has nothing to do with pepper,I guess that's why americans always translate it with two "r"s,they believe it has something to do with pepper.
Excuse for the rant,I used to work as the guy who makes pizzas (pizzaiolo).
As an American, I've never heard of any vegetable being referred to as a peperoni. I have heard of perperoncini, which is more likely our interperetation of your peperoni vegetable reference. What we call peperoni is a meat topping that is similar to a sliced spicy sausage. And it is usually spelled with 1 "r".

EDIT- And most of the American owned "Italian" restaurants that have those "stupid restaurant signs" are owned by Americans of Italian heritage.

I just ate a Goodfellas La Bottega Pepperoni one and personnaly i think it takes some beating, i tend to buy at least one a week. All suggestions will be taking on board for ...[text shortened]... s some delicious boxed pizzas on sale abroad that us lot in the UK havnt been introduced to yet?

In Norway they use "pepperoni" like in America, referring to salami (or something similar). I didn't know it was used that way anywhere before I moved to Norway, so that was quite surprising. In Germany, "Peperoni" is used for what I think is called "chili peppers" in English. I always thought it was the same in Italian, but if you say it doesn't have anything to do with pepper, it seems I am wrong (unless you were only referring to black and white pepper). Very confusing. So what kind of vegetables are called peperoni in Italian?

What is/are "pittige rode ui"? If we had that pizza here, I would have seen it. There's not much choice for vegetarians here. πŸ™

I'll have a Pizza Ristorante Mozzarella today. πŸ™‚
