@The-only-Mr-T
Of course your hero is scouse. Your record goal scorer. Also played for England.
@XRB saidAlways enjoy your knowledgeable football insight Sir ππΌ
There is a scouser who came through Liverpool's academy in the squad - Anthony Gordon. Has there ever been an England squad without a scouse player??
Ex-Liverpool players Henderson & Quansah are in.
Quansah came through the Liverpool academy. Arne Slot subbed Quansah at half time during his first match in charge and never started him again. He understandably left for Lever ...[text shortened]... Elliot Anderson's ability to protect the back four. If that improves us defensively then who knows.
@diver saidAll the games are at night.
I asked permission to post this in the General Forum; so I will.

Who the hell is going to get up at 2 AM to watch Scotland losing from some made up third world nation nobody as ever of before?

Any predictions VR?
@diver saidI really don't know enough about the game to give any Predictions. I just think it will be a good experience for Canada. I really don't expect them to go far but upsets do happen in the game. It is really nice for Canada to be one of the Hosts for the Matches. Hell I am still learning the rules to the game! π

We may never see an event like this again at least in my life time.

@Very-Rusty saidThe rules are pretty simple tbh.

- only goalkeepers can handle the ball
- don’t kick your opponents
- if you are kicked a little bit don’t dive to ground and roll around like a fairy
- get the ball in the opponent’s net
Even the offside rule is fairly straightforward but its implementation by referees and VAR seems to confuse and annoy literally everyone watching.

Scottish fans drank every beer on their plane before landing in Boston ahead of World Cup opener
Some fans say they started boozing as early as 1 a.m. before their Saturday match against Haiti at Gillette Stadium
So, Scottish fans rolled into Logan International Airport ahead of the match, but the news became less about
the Tartan Army's arrival and more about their journey there and the drinking they did along the way.
lol
@diver saidWas the other Team suppose to win?
Wow Canada equalise in the 78th after being under pressure!
Do they wear any protective gear? There seems to be a lot of kicking and tripping going on.
At least we didn't lose our first game on home soil.
