I'm not sure what you're talking about but I agree. When I see these 1500 rated players in open invites who are only accepting challenges from 1200 and below or whatever, I think something like this. I suppose you may be talking about non chess things though, same goes for the 1200s looking for games against the fictional 500-600 range, I'm guessing they are just too new to realize almost no one has ratings that low and too wimpy to risk losing a game.
