* Bitter moon
* Platoon
* Kieslowski's The Decalogue & Three Colors
Breaking the waves looks interesting. I couldn't find a clip of the last one.

Very nice indeed! And let me just add Equilibrium among other things for the concept of Gun Kata.

I found that one too disturbing to finish. Von Trier movies which I much preferred are Dancer in the Dark and Dogville.

Other movies which I really enjoyed are
"La Vite e Bella",
"Amelie",
"Amores Perros" (same director as 21grams and Babel, although Amores Perros is much better than either),
"Delicatessen" is a superb black comedy,
"Etre e Avoir" is superb, and
Baraka is amazing, although not exactly a movie as you might expect,
"Cidade de Deus" aka "City of God" is superb and another couple of excellent Brazilian movies would be "Behind the Sun" and "Carandiru".

That's because they are 4 (13? ) different items.
Do a search for Kieslowski on IMDB, and you'll find them.

Ugh. I thought that was one of the most terrible movies I'd ever seen.

To each his own, I guess.

I thought it was ok.

The ending was kind of predicatble though.

Some scenes were quite nice, actually. Curiously enough, all the scenes I liked are the ones that weren't part of the passion (devil's temptation, stopping the stoning of Maria Magdalena, the thirty pieces of silver)

Amores Perros, nice pick.

What about The Idiots? It's pure Dogma95, man!
