Yes, I got it, that you didn't speak up until RUSS said something and started closing threads, which probably should be removed if we want to think about it. They all can still be read by new members coming on the site. Is this to let them know it not permitted??? Perhaps that is his intent here.

Ban the ones posting and continuing them to last so long for 7 days. People of like interests such as shown in these threads can form a clan or club and talk all they want about womens butts and such topics out of public view.

It’s called the general forum, remove the humorous and/or interesting threads and soon the posters leave making it a very dull place.

Dive and FMF weren’t everyone’s cup of whiskey but they did keep the forum active.

Topics and people come and go in waves, give it another week and those threads probably wouldn’t be anywhere to be seen but if they were it’s proof people want to talk about it, my woman’s bums thread was clearly a bit of lighthearted fun but those threads can end up have some serious conversations.

What you suggest will drive most away from

I think even the women took it as very light hearted and some even had a little fun with it trev.

Agreed one can be too strict, but where do we draw the line on what can be said.

That would be up to the Owner and he seems to have made a firm decision on it.

There may be as many don't want to see these kinds of threads as do, I really don't know or have the answers. It did get a lot of posts and one of them at least was revived.

It’s true, seems daft to have them if anything even a little bit disagreeable to some gets removed.

Are you saying a chess player will leave the site because such threads are not allowed and the GF is boring? I dont think so.

I know many who I talk to in P.M.'s who read the forums especially the General Forum, but just don't want to say anything because they may get attacked. It is not that they don't care, they don't want confrontation. They are a little shy like me! 🙂

What I got out of what trev33 said was that if the forums become boring people will leave. Probably not us who are a part of the furniture here, but new members I think he was talking about. He can correct me if I am wrong on this.
