@rajk999 saidI know one can't always go by what is on the packages. I'd like to talk directly to the farmer who sells them to the places I shop.
Ask them also what are they being fed with. GM corn for example is probaly not good. Check into that as well.

Some farms having thousands and thousands of chickens crammed together.
Some barns having over 100,000 of them.
The filth and smell is almost unbearable.
They basically stand around on their own feces and dead birds for 2 months and then crews come in and clear them out for slaughter.
I stopped eating chicken for a long time after that but chicken is so good I eat it now.
@very-musty saidOf course. They say if you see how they make corned beef and hot dogs, you will never ear it.

@rajk999 saidI believe they have a similar expression about sausages! Best not to say what is in them, as some do like them.

@very-rusty saidVegetarian.
Seriously goad, have you ate a duck?
Greasy as hell, I know you were making a joke!

Is a duck a vegetable?
@ghost-of-a-duke saidOh you're Vegetarian, how did I miss that one. 😉

@very-rusty saidDo you think a starving family in the third world (hell, even in the back country of Appalachia) would turn away a free goose, claiming it's "too greasy"?
I find duck to be greasy!

That was the man's point, not that you should eat it yourself.
@suzianne saidOf course not Suzie Q, I did mean for myself of course!

@very-musty saidAll African govts are corrupt. Neither do they care about their citizens. Most of the handouts and aid etc end up in the homes of family and friends and party members
That part is comical 😆
So the corrupted African governments didn't want to lose face with a handout eh?
They get handouts all of the time by many countries.

The post that was quoted here has been removedYes is the correct answer. Have you ever been to see how people live in some of those places, or seen documentaries that go deep into the severe poverty stricken slums in India, and Africa? It makes your blood crawl if you are accustomed to a decent western lifestyle. As long as the food and drugs in question do not kill them it should be fine, because many of them die young anyhow.
