I can't help but think that someone else could have used that liver and George Best being George Best, he probably jumped the waiting list.
Let's hope the next person on the list got his liver too, since George Best has pissed that one away.

On the other hand, he is an alcoholic, and probably really couldn't help himslef.

If you knew anything beyond what the Sun tells you, you'd know that it is an infection brought about due to the immuno-suppressant drugs he has to take so that his body doesn't reject the transplane. It has nothing to do with him continuing to drink.

He brought the necessity for the transplant on himself in the first place. He's has more chances than any others - so tough shit to him. He's a bad advert for transplants, and for the many recovering alcoholics who have beaten their illness and continue to live dry and trouble free lives. GOOG ON THEM! But for him a little empathy maybe, but sympathy? No thanks!
