Team USA remained unbeaten in 2007 and advanced to the Gold Cup finals with a thrilling 2-1 victory over a tenacious Canadian team.
USA's amazing run in 2007 has soccer afficiandos world-wide talking about the amazing resurgence of a team that has to again be considered amongst the world's best.
Originally posted by Derfel CadarnDude our team is really young (a lot of the top scorers are in their mid-twenties) and they are still doing well, plus around half of our players on the national team are playing in countries that live and breathe soccer. So I think we are doing fine at the international level, and we will be doing fine in years to come.
America doesn't put enough behind soccer to ever be really good. Sure, we'll be good some years, but we'll never be able to compete with other nations that live soccer and only soccer.

The Gold Cup final that the world has been praying for is here!!!
USA v. Mexico.
The most important international contest so far this year will pit an undefeated Team USA versus a resurgent Mexico.
Can USA remain unbeaten under new head coach Bob Bradley?
Will the tri-colour avenge themselves on their neighbors to the north with the whole world watching?
Find out Sunday, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!!

And give it up for Team USA...20 years ago we didn't belong on the same field with the top 50 teams in the world. Today, we COULD beat any team in the world on any given day (witness the fact that we were the only side to best the eventual champs in last years Cup.)
I like our chances versus the Argentines in the first round of the Copa.
What is Stan James paying on that one? I think I want to bet it too.

Canada v. U.S. is and will be the best match of the whole tourney... it's painful to say it but... don't expect much from Mexico 😞
Your boys made it to the finals.
XNZ is gone and Mexico is in the finals, looks like Feliz navidad and cinquo de mayo all rolled in to one.
