As a completely toxified alcoholic weighing 6 stones and 8 Oz, I suffer from gout infrequently. However, when my decision to abstain from alcohol for 4 or 5 hours and decide to eat, my protein levels and praline levels increase so dramatically to the point of severe gout attacks, every 24 hours.
My praline levels increase too much because I like Fish and Chips after the Pub. Allegedly praline causes gout and is found largely in oily fish such as anchovies. That cuts out Pizza Hut on the way home then after a few Guienni and Pool.
Then there's the rumours 'wine'. But I can happily have a bottle of Chateau Neuf du Pape 24 times a week without a single gout attack.
So then I think, "Well there's no obvious reason for my gout attacks as dignosed by my GP, so what can it be?"
Pressure of a woman? Stress?
Then I realised...... none of the above.....my daily gout pain is because.... π

Gouty arthritis?.
It moves around.... the pain and stiffness I mean. I never had gout attack in my big toe!! Every time i went to a hosp they say how is your big toe... bllllkcks. it's in my ankle, like my foot is like a football and i have glass in my achilles. then it's in my knee.. then it's in my ruddy kidney and back ache.
I had a blood test this week. yes my uric is up, but only to 540. i'm on allopurinol (yes , it can kill you if you have kidney problems and it can cause lots of other life threatening crucifixions, as Woods would beliEve) and all other full count is perfectly normal.
So what is this?? CANCER?? π
lmao... cancer.
But how does one control gouty arthritis? if there is such a thing??
Sorry, didn't see the hereditary bit.
My ma has extended arthritis, osteoperosis and myeloma, if that's spilled correctly..... and dad.. well he's ok.
