133. Ben Rawlings sat in the small crowded french cafe waiting for Lizzy. He felt trapped, surrounded by enemy agents. He hoped that Fritz was right and that the aggressive move to skewer their European competitor with a bribe would work. He had no idea that Bishop Blackmore was sitting in disguise in the corner opposite him reading the latest issue of the Exchequer.

At exactly 4:35 p.m. GMT, as ordered, Sheila, holding a satchel with stolen bearer bonds worth 10 M Euros, pressed SEND to Kervey's track phone # and got a recording that said "This number is currently not in service." She sat trembling in the darkened conference room and pondered her next step.

136. While still gently tossing the salad of minimal options around in the now wooden bowl of her otherwise nimble mind, her left hip responded

to the vibration pulse of an unexpected incoming call. She excused herself and, in the empty corridor along the war room, her cell instantly

overflowed with the welcome resonance and cheerful tone of nmdavidb's distant voice... "What's goin on? Know you're busy but yesterday

gb asked me to get involved with the RHP 2008 Novel. No particular desire to disappoint him but I've been totally under the Colorado Poet

Laureate's gun with a short story deadline by class tomorrow and unable to catch up on where the plot (though I understand you are quite

in the thick of it even as we speak) really stands. Last night I did come up with a possible late entry character who could play a significant role

in the resolution of all issues now on the table... but would like to run a few ideas by you first. Would you please call me back this evening?"

Sheila whispered, "Yes, Dave, and thanks so much for calling. Gotta get back to Ken's meeting. Bye."

138. With RHP server down and the deadline for his paper looming...Dave sat and stared at the wall. Not a very interesting wall is it, he thought. What color is that? Off white? Eggshell? Antique? Who has that job? Naming colors. I don't think I could have that job. Ok...mind wandering too much...this idea is going nowhere for this story. I need something catchy. I need something binding! Sitting and staring at the wall still he awaits advice...

139. when Fritz calls out of the blue and suggests that they head down to the student union for awhile. Doyle whines about needing to write a short story and drawing a blank and Fritz, as always, comes through with a fascinating concept for a story based on an elizabethan allegory of royal court power and intrigue that involves liaisons, blackmail, power struggles and, ultimately, of course, assassination of the enemy king! Doyle gets excited and suggests a female heroine with radiating power . . .the Queen.

140. Afraid to chance forgetting the idea, he begins to write it down on a napkin. He quickly fills the front and turns it over. A phone number? Someone gave him a used napkin? Then he looks at the number again.

141. He notes that the number is for Buckingham Palace. He knows that because he used to date Princess Anne before she married "Whatshisname". He dialed the number and to his surprise Anne answered and said is that you "Bimpy"( Her pet name for him). He hesitated and then said.......

143. Bimpy . . .it's Bimpy . .. . her heart pounded, racing, thumping, her breath drew in deep, painful, she felt her face flush, blood rushing everywhere . . .every .. .where . . .where . .. . .her balance was wavering . .she was floating . . .Bimpy .. Bimpy . . .yes . . yes . . . yes . . YES . .YES ! ! ! ! oh . . .oh . . . .she had to catch her breath, compose herself . . . . .

Bimpy was wondering about the dead silence as he tried to think of how he could get out of the conversation without being too rude, but then again, they did have some good times together . . .

144. "Anne? Are you there?", he asked...not quite sure why the silence was happening.

"Yes, I am here, I am sorry, was just very surprised to hear your voice", Anne answered.

"Well I know of your current situation, and I probably should not be talking to you, I would hate to see anything happen to the great relationship that you have now, but I really need to see you and tell you about..."

BIMPY . .oh . . .(catches herself .. .. keeping in control . . one must, always, to be sure) oh um dear me (slight royal giggle of self-efacement . . . .the grace of nobility, you see) oh Bimpy, excuse my silly schoolgirl awkwardness, wont you, dear? you know you always did have that effect on me . . .now, do tell . . .what IS this about? a call like this out of the blue, really . .(smile, forced, really)

and Bimpy, just being a little dense in matters of royal daliances failed to read "the code" which would have been readily apparent to ANYONE else just a bit more savvy . . ."come dear, let's shall we"
