#2 I've always felt technology is this country's Achilles heel. One properly placed Electromagnetic Pulse will be this country's downfall. The only survivors will be the Amish.

if that strong of an electronic pulse should happen to occur, we'll have quite a lot to be concerned about, even though i don't know why we'd ponder that in here

6. Sarah, at that moment, glanced out the tinted window and noted an ever so slight flicker of the geen "go" signal of the light standard. She turned to Hans and said, "Didi you notice that?" "What?", he said. "Oh never mind it was probably just my imagination. How soon before we get to the church?" she asked. Hans replied, "We're almost there now. Just another block and you will see your betrothed". She shuddered at the thought of her "special night". Would he be gentle? Would she be? She smiled but no one noticed. Just then the vehicle ground to a halt. What happened?

7. Great, she thought, just perfect, but wait a minute why has everything seemed to have "broken down?. By now Hans had exited the vehicle and was speaking to the driver of the car beside them. "I know", he said in his low German accent, " it is indeed very strange. One car breaking down will happen, two would seem a bit odd but all?..and look even the lights are not working and did you notice there are no sounds to be heard no white noise. How can this be?" By now the streets were filled with people wandering about looking puzzled and a bit frightened.
