my guitar and i are just not getting on, i try to talk about the problem but it just doest seem to care................should i move on to a younger more responsive musical instrument?
Are you expecting your guitar to simply perform whenever you have a whim to play? Do you show it attention at other times? Have you attempted to put your needs aside and meet the guitar's needs sometimes? Some guitars like to have their strings caressed without moving on to a full rock song. Show your guitar you appreciate it.

Try going up and down it's neck and put some of that Finger Ease lubricant on there. Lemon oil is good for for the fingerboard if you rub it in real good with your fingers. Dress the frets if you're into something kinky but not enough to catch a hum or a buzz. If none of that works, then buy your guitar one of those e-bows, which is a motorized string vibrator and you'll have it crying like a violin. 😵
