no. below median would be correct if anything.

* On normal distributed chractteristics: If you know one guy being about 2 m high and other wise a lot of people say about 1,70 to 1,80 the average would be slightly higher than the median...

* ON characterstics not normally distributed: If you know a lot of persons who make around 50.000/year and a handful with no income, and some with very high income the efect can be even more pronounced.
