Btw, decades ago my sister, in her blooming youth, was rushing through a local Welsh market town when she noticed someone very familiar smiling at her as she approached him. She guessed it was someone she knew through her husband’s acquaintances so she hurried by smiling, saying ‘hello, sorry but I’m in a bit of a rush’.
After she passed him she suddenly recalled that it was our Welsh actor, Anthony Hopkins!
She glanced back to see him still standing there looking at her; a bemused smile upon his face 🙂

@Torunn saidHe’s such a cool cat isn’t he 😻and yes, I’ve watched him in Fracture & Hannibal, one of my favourites especially, loads of times. I find his acting quite memorising as he excels in a very subtle use of words, expressions & gestures.

Today is Russ Tamblyn's 91st birthday - American film and television actor and dancer. In West Side Story (1961), he portrayed Riff, the leader of the Jets gang.
I missed it by a day, but the 30th was the birthday of the Taiwanese actor Tseng Jing-Hua, whose career as an actor and as a fashion model and rep have really been taking off in recent years.
It was from his first project that I learned of the "White Terror" period in Taiwan.
In my view he's a very special person and I hope he can navigate his career and his fame well.

Horrible that China surrounded Taiwan the other day. I hope that the PRC and Taiwan are playing some game together that nobody else understands.
