Remind me to rec your post when my next 30 days roll around. Well said. Don't forget to add that when THEY were rec'd it was a whole different story. Recs were GOOD and a mandate proving they were doing the right thing and all that rubbish.
At least i'm not the only one who thinks this way .

the problems was, a couple of trolls claimed a couple of clans recced wildly their own members, succeeded in provoking people to attack themselves, and got a number of threads deleted for the general chaos created. then they repeated the procedure until the rec totals were first reset and then removed. it was never about the recs themselves being this or th ...[text shortened]... was about a couple of manipulative jerks stirring up trouble. the sad thing is, they succeeded.
And now for a dose of the truth. Straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak:
Rec ownership is no longer shown - lets keep the focus of "recommendations' on the quality posts, not the individuals who posted them.

In a further effort to make the forum post recommendation system more effective, all 'recommendation' data has been reset, and now forum recommendations are now limited to 10 in a 30 day period for a particular user. (This remains a subscriber only feature, to prevent abuse).

I agree too. So much so, I will add this limitation ASAP.

edit: I was just this close to ripping out the entire rec system.
I'll give it a week or two to improve, otherwise it will be destroyed forever - along with the entire rec system.

The recommended posts index makes a return after a prolonged absence. It is now updated once every night (GMT).
Lets just hope the quality of the recommended posts improve, otherwise this may be a brief revival.
